APTS (Andhra Pradesh Technology Services), i.e the first ever Indian E-Governance project, has been reportedly hacked again. Though the estimate of loss is still to be determined but it is really a news of concern, when more E-Governance projects have been planned for the future which includes Registrar of Companies(ROC) to go electronic in few months time. CBI has started the investigations in this case but it is being felt that confidential information may have been stolen. Website: http://apts.gov.in

This is the second time that APTS website has been hacked, last time it was in January 2002, when AIC (Anti-India Crew) replaced the HomePage with some anti-India slogans. It is really high-time that Government takes some serious steps in making the E-Governance system more secure.
